This phenomenal formal dress was handcrafted in 1958 by a master seamstress for her own use, originally with a silk chiffon skirt. In the '60s she swapped the original silk skirt for nylon chiffon. The bodice is hand-drawn Alençon lace from France which, even in the '50s, cost over $100 a yard! The bow in back is a rose taffeta sash from the old Sakowitz department store. There is no underskirt so a slip would be required.

There are a few small spots on the chiffon skirt and one larger discolored area toward the end of the ribbon. The bow also needs to be re-gathered with fresh thread, which I would be happy to do myself if the buyer requests it.

Measurements: bust 34", waist 26", full skirt.
