PDF pattern short kimono jacket - No-waste project for beginners and advanced sewists.
This is a very simple sewing project that even beginner sewists will be able to follow.
“Suzuran” is the Japanese word for “Lily of the Valley” - a flower which, in France, symbolises Spring. There could not be a better name for a French-designed jacket with a Japanese twist - or, rather, Japoniste, as the French Impressionists would call it.
This design borrows many elements from Japanese Yukata, the traditional “Spring kimono”, which is airy and comfortable. The collar is high and rigid, tending to stay away from the neck. There are (optional) vents under the arms, which in the original Yukata gave access to the ample sleeve “pockets” and were retained here as an element of style.
But most of all, this is a no-waste design, meaning you get to use all of your fabric - an acknowledgment of traditional pattern-cutting quest to make the most of the materials available.

"What do I get when I purchase this pattern?"
Upon purchasing, you receive a link where you'll be able to download the pattern in PDF format and a separate PDF with the instructions in English.
The pattern is separated in several tiles (sheets of paper). The instructions explain how to print and assemble them before you can start sewing.
