Beautiful and classic 1920s drop-waist lace dress. Has a wonderful layered handkerchief skirt--so very Stevie Nicks! Needs some repair work (see condition notes below) but definitely a gem worth reviving. Would make an excellent project for the flapper on a budget, or use it as a stunning display piece in your jazz-age boudoir.

Condition: Fair. As you can see in the photos, the cream lace overlay is in rough shape, especially around the arms; it's delicate and tears very easily. Base layer (cream silk bodice attached to black skirt) feels fairly solid, with a few stress marks around some of the tier hems.

I don't think this dress is a total loss at all--if you can sew even a little bit, you could easily remove the cream lace, and either replace it or cut it up to make applique accents for the silk shell underneath. You could also liberate the skirt, and make it a separate garment. The base layers seem relatively sturdy, and definitely worthy of a little remodeling! Of course, the 90-year old silk is still delicate, so I wouldn't put too much stress on the dress. Priced AS-IS according to current condition and potential for restoration.
