Description

Antique China Blue Delft serving tray. It has a Nautical Theme Transferware, very elegant. It is Antique Ironstone China Made in England, Circa 1890. Nineteenth-century English transferware is perfect for special occasions for the table Great for family occasions or the Holiday Season. This item is rare.

This piece is oval and has a beveled rim It is decorated inside with the windmills and sailboats. The bottom has a ridge and has a stamp with a sailboat logo and the words: Delft / Angleterre Porcelain, Mellor, Taylor and Company. It was made in England. The base also has a stamp with the model number 14 on it.

Measurements are the length is 8.25 inches long, the width is almost 5.5 inches and the height is 1.25 inches.

It is in great antique condition. It has some marks underneath the top, I took picture of it, not bad, usual for such an old and rare piece. It does need to be washed gently but that is it.

HISTORY:
"Delft" is the pattern name. Mellor Taylor and Company are the makers. They were in business between 1887 and 1904. Their hard durable granite or ironstone china was made for the American and Canadian market. Goods were also made, to some extent, for the home trade. This is a rare and hard to find line of china from a highly collectible England maker. The most well-known supplier of replacement china has NO pieces of "Delft" by Mellor, Taylor & Co.; it is that scarce. It will work with any blue and while ware, beautifully.

Please look at the pictures they show the details, and if you need more please ask.

International buyers please contact me regarding reducing shipping costs. Please give me the Country you want it sent to and I will give you the accurate shipping cost.

I love to combine shipping for multiple items, please contact me with your zip code for a better shipping rate.

Shipping rates may seem higher than others however they include insurance, tracking, and packaging which includes tape, box, packing materials and sales tax, especially with this item it is fragile. It is not my intention to make money off of shipping costs so if it turns out that shipping is off, I will refund the difference to you, minus 5 dollars in materials and sales tax that I have. Thank you for understanding.
