Item details

Vintage from the 1950s

For sale is a beautiful Santa Anita Ware ceramic serving bowl/platter. This piece was made in California probably in the 1950s. It is Santa Anita's pattern # R-27 which features grape leafs forming three bowls and a center handle. It measures 16" (41cm) X 9 (23cm) X 2" (5cm) high. It is glazed in earth brown tones with red-orange highlights. The maker's mark in etched into the bottom. A wonderful dish for a retro-themed dinner party or would also make a fun candy dish or dresser top catch-all.

This bowl is in very good vintage condition with a shiny glaze and only a few small nicks along the edges. The metal handle has lost its original shiny finish and is discolored in spots but is free of any rust.
