Here’s another mini-tutorial for beginners, or for anyone who takes a liking to these lovely little doll's hair ornaments.

I’ve taken just as much trouble with this 10 page tutorial as I do with my full-scale sewing patterns, and the photographic instructions are very clear. They also give a couple of alternatives as you’re making the item.

You can use this to make a stick barrette for any size of doll. The templates given are the size I've used for Ellowyne Wilde, MSD' and other dolls like Moxie Teenz and Moxie girlz. It can easily be printed out larger to be appropriate for dolls like Blythe, Pullip, or 1/3 scale BJDs.

The template page (page 10) can be printed out on your computer - instructions for doing that are included.

Due to high costs of printing ink, I regret I cannot offer a printed version of this whole package.

Your download, after payment, will be in both A4 format AND US Letter format. This way you can choose which format you'd prefer, the European A4, or the US Letter (USL).

This is a tutorial on how to make these hand crafted items, not an actual hair slide.

DUE TO HEALTH ISSUES, I DO NOT MAKE ITEMS TO ORDER.

You are welcome to use my patterns to make your own doll clothes to sell. HOWEVER - please respect my copyright, and give credit to Raccoon’s Rags on your sale page. For example it’s okay to write “Handmade by myself, using a Raccoon’s Rags pattern” or even “adapted from a Raccoon’s Rags pattern” But not “My own design”.

I always credit other artisans/designers when I use their patterns or adapt them. They did all the hard work and deserve the recognition.

Many thanks and happy sewing.
