Description

Bentonite Clay, Bentonite Clay Uses, Montmorillonite Clay, Volcanic Ash, Healing Clay

NOTE: This is not a food-grade product.

Bentonite clay is an alternative facial and body treatment that is relatively inexpensive and completely natural.

Bentonite is a distinctive clay given its ability to produce a “charge” that is electrical in nature when it comes in contact with liquid. Bentonite is thought to have the ability to absorb and remove toxins, heavy metals, impurities, and chemicals from the skin.

Where is it Bentonite Clay Found?

Bentonite clay, also called Montmorillonite clay, is composed of ash made from volcanoes. The most prevalent known source of bentonite clay is found in Fort Benton, Wyoming where several volcanoes are present. The name bentonite stems from the town where much of the supply is harvested.

Although bentonite deposits can be found throughout the world, many of the largest concentrations of clay are located in the Great Plains area of North America, Montmorillon France and Italy.

I’ve tried this clay for a while now because I thought I didn’t do it right the first time. It doesn’t mix well, and the clay ends up in clumps instead of a smooth consistency. I don’t use any metal when mixing it up but it still comes out that way. I have no problem with the French Green Clay I got, though.
