Description

Please note: This listing is for the digital KNITTING PATTERN to make the pictured toy and NOT FOR A FINISHED ITEM

This pattern is written in English.

This listing is for an extensive PDF file which contains full instructions for knitting and finishing off a little knitted cat boy with a plaid sweater and shorts. The pattern is supplied as an instantly downloadable digital PDF file, so you will need a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader to open, print and save the file. Once paid for it will available to download and is also always accessible from your Etsy purchase history. A receipt will be emailed to your Etsy contact email (please ensure that this is up to date).

The file is 20 pages long and contains over 50 detailed step-by-step photographs along with full pattern instructions and tips for stuffing, seaming and finishing neatly. Also included are 4 extra designs for the head so you can make a tabby cat, Siamese, cat with a blaze or an eye patch.

The pattern is for knitting flat on two needles and all pieces are seamed afterwards. Please note that this project is not a quick or simple knit. It takes me around 14 hours to make and finish each of the animals that I make and just under half of that time is spent on the finishing off. There are lots of separate pieces which require seaming and sewing and if you are looking for something fast and easy you would probably be better off finding a different pattern. That said this PDF file will give you all of the information and techniques that you need to knit the little cat pictured.

I've included instructions for two different sweater options - the first has plaid pattern but for those who don't like Fair Isle/stranded knitting there is a simpler version in Breton stripes.

What you will need:

M a t e r i a l s:
• DK, worsted or light Aran yarn (approx 75m): Yarn A
• DK, worsted or light Aran yarn (approx 10m) Yarn B
• 4ply weight yarn for the sweater: Yarn C & Yarn D
• 4ply weight yarn in dark colour for shorts: Yarn E
• Scraps of grey, pink and black 4ply/DK yarn for the eyes and nose
• Toy stuffing
• A tiny button

N o t i o n s:
• Knitting needles: A pair each of 3mm and 2.75mm
• Tapestry needle

Finished size:
approx 22cm (9 inches) from the tip of the toes to the top of the ears
