We ordered the plans, then waited until a big box store finally had their 11% off before purchasing wood needed to make the chicken house. We ordered the hardware and windows from Amazon like plans recommended. My son did the entire chicken coop by himself and said that the plans were very easy to follow. He added a roofed chicken run and raised the house and put wire around the entire bottom so that the hens will have a place to scratch and get out of the sun and heat. Now we need chickens, which are in a very short supply in our state. Our hens will have the upgraded penthouse version of chicken coops, some day!🤞🥴 Don’t be afraid to purchase these plans. Easy to follow instructions. BTW-total cost for the entire coop was around $1,500.

Turned out great. More plywood waste than I like, but not terrible. It was really nice to have a materials list when I went to buy everything. It saved me multiple trips to the store. I ended up (finally) buying a framing nail gun because of all the toe-nailing. Cost me between $800 and $900 (coop only), and I already had the roofing tin.
