Very easy to follow. We swapped the doors and used the larger windows. We added a vent window with a drop down door in back and added vents to the peaks on both sides by the roof so we could close up the coop in the winter for warmth while the chickens still got the needed ventilation. I also had my husband make the nest box dividers one removable piece for easy cleaning when emptying the coop. This is a second coop for us and my 4 bullied chickens love having their own space away from the meanies! Thank you!

This project was a dream come true. My husband and I had no prior building/woodworking experience but these building plans were fantastic. We cut everything ourselves. The project took a few weeks for us to complete. We felt so confident in our new skills that we made some adjustment of our own and added a hinge window on the back side for air flow (AZ is hot in the summer) and solar lights outside. We have received SO many compliments. Our six chickens are as happy as can be with plenty of room for a few more.

The plans were exactly was I was looking for. Very easy to follow. So happy I came across these plans. We could not be more happy. Took me two days to build and 1 day to paint. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a small hobby coop.

We love how this coop turned out. We did add vents and we decided on a metal roof instead of shingled. The coop windows we bought on Amazon won’t arrive for a few weeks so we went ahead and added the hardware cloth so they can stay in there safety until they arrive. We probably spent closer to $900 to build by the time we bought latches and hardware, etc. We used exterior grade screws on some parts just because it was easier, faster, quieter in our neighborhood than nailing everything. Great plans and very excited to move our hens in! Also, I was able to get by with one coat with a gallon of good paint on the exterior (as pictured) but I am going to get a second can to put another on so maybe plan to buy two gallons if you want two coats.
