Stained glass panel of Gustave Klimt's "The Kiss". It measures 18.5" X 20" and is assembled in the Tiffany copper foil method. It is finished with a copper patina and framed in copper. It is complete as is but can be framed or inserted as a window so I have left off the hangers but if you would like them on with an appropriate length of copper chain, just send me a convo and I will be happy to accommodate at no extra charge.

Shipping is an approximation. I will refund any overages above a dollar.

If need be I am open to lay away, send me a convo of what works for you and we will discuss it from there to try to reach an agreement.

I'm exceptionally happy with this piece as I used the very finest glass. I've been doing glass for over 30 years and have accumulated many exceptional pieces, some no longer made. In this panel that is the case. The main color in the man's robe has not been made in over 8 years. It was always a special glass made by Youghiogheny Co. in that they only made one batch per year, mainly for the "Peacock Lamp". The colors incorporated in this glass are in no other glass, deep and medium honey, orange, fuchsia, and purple. The glass needs good light to show it's beauty. The rust back ground is true hand crafted antique glass. You can see all the lines and bubbles, making it unique, but also refracting light much more beautifully and the machine made antique of today. The Fuchsia and purple glass in the woman's dress are Bullseye glass, extremely costly in those colors, requiring gold salts to produce the depth of color. All in all, this window is incredibly beautiful and probably under priced. When it sells, I will truly miss it, there can be no other.

Someone asked me recently “ How much do you charge for a stained glass window?” I replied, “What does a car cost?” She answered “What kind of car?” I replied “What kind of window?” There are so many variables, each window so unique, there is not one way to establish a price.
Building stained glass artwork is a very exacting craft and art. It takes years of practice and dedication to develop the skills necessary to create a high quality piece of artwork. We make the designs considering the limitations of what can be cut in glass, find and buy the glass, chose and cut all the pieces, grind and shape them for precision, hand foil, flux, solder, frame, clean, patina and finish with glass wax. The complexity of the design, the number of pieces, the type and colors of the glass and the time it takes to create all need to be considered. A one-square foot window with a100 pieces takes about the same time as a 4 foot by 4 foot window with the same number of pieces,
There are many glass manufacturers world- wide and 2000 types of glass, some machine rolled, and others blown one sheet at a time. Many retailers are selling stained glass inexpensively. The pieces are produced in China with no consideration to the quality of glass or light refraction. The employees work in sweat shops breathing the poisonous chemical and lead fumes. An artist can’t begin nor wants to compete with that. If you are just looking for some color and don’t care if the piece is mass produced a retailer is your best bet or a do it yourself kit.
