Learn how to make your own 3-ring Propeller Earrings at home with this instructional tutorial and a simplified silver soldering technique that uses a hand-held butane torch with Argentium solder paste in a syringe. This five-page PDF jewelry tutorial illustrates step-by-step how to create large-diameter jump rings with a gas pipe mandrel, and then assemble them into a spiraling three-ring Flower formation. Then we will apply some geometry with a digital caliper and pencil-point compass to find the three equally-distant points of a triangle, which will each hold a soldering pin that is used to separate each ring of the Flower into the ‘gravity-defying’ Propeller design. Next, we will apply solder paste where the three rings overlap and securely bond them with the butane torch against the heat-resistant Solderite board to complete the 3-ring Propeller frame. Once the soldered design is cooled and cleaned, we will embellish the Propeller frame with gemstone beads in a circular wire-wrapping pattern, and add the earring back to complete this sensational beauty of the Davidchain portfolio.
