Though I have had Robin's nests in trees within my own garden, I have always been just unlucky enough to be out of range or situated so that I couldn't take a photograph. I love the squawking and sharp chirps that American Robins make! Such expressive birds! And their stalking forward, hunched low approach, then starchily upright stance as they eye the ground for their next meal! Just great birds for watching avian antics. Their nest are equally as impressive; so ordered, circular and distinctive! So, I decided my enthusiasm couldn't wait to find my own nest to print; I turned to the lovely photography of Michelle Ahlstrom of True Colors Photography (https://www.facebook.com/photosbymichellea) to provide the photo reference. I very rarely use others' work as a reference, but Michelle captured a perfect Robin's nest for me to start from!

Sent to you mounted on Black Archival Alphamat Artcare Foamboard with conservation corner mounts and enclosed in a clear archival sleeve. Shipped flat via USPS Priority. See Shop Policies for details.

Note: Additional photos may be available before purchase if requested.

Returns & exchanges

Printmaking Fine Art prints are unique and each one varies slightly from its edition-mates. When posting photos, we try to give you a peak at multiple pieces within an edition. If you wish, we can take an additional photo or two of the piece you would be receiving prior to purchase.

For that reason, we offer no refunds or exchanges except for carrier-documented* damage. If you aren't satisfied with your purchase, please contact us through the Etsy Conversations system, so we can discuss your thoughts and work to resolve any issues together. Please notify us ASAP if you have a problem.

If your print arrives damaged, please take a photograph, contact your carrier and return it to us (after you receive our authorization) in the original packaging. Only after this is received can we provide the refund/exchange.

Shipping policies

Items are listed to ship within the US only, but may be shipped outside the US upon request with cost determined per item. Please convo us your request!

Items will ship out within 3 business days of receiving payment. If your address differs from that registered with Etsy or you need the item to be shipped to a different address (for work or as a gift perhaps) please let us know in the 'note to seller' or by the Etsy Conversations system.

In the USA, we ship using USPS Priority (usually 2-3 days), which we have found the safest and most economical method of shipping fine art. Encaustic paintings are shipped using the best method possible on a case-by-case basis due to temperature concerns. If a faster method of shipping is needed, please let us know before your order and we can provide you with price quote.

NOTE: Prints to Europe, Mexico and Australia are now shipped rolled up in clear archival sleeves, in Triangles/Tubes unless you request otherwise. The price goes up 3X to ship in flat boxes, so we are trying this method starting in July of 2016.

All packages go with insurance and delivery confirmation. Outside the USA, please remember that all tariffs are paid by you, the buyer.
