Looking for a rustic bed on a budget? Our Frontier line is just for you. Our Frontier Log Beds use the the same quality cedar logs with mortis & tenon construction for a solid bed. We simplified the look of the footboard and long screws are used to attach the rails. This is the perfect line for that summer home or cottage. We offer this unfinished for the do it yourselfers or we offer it with a Clear satin lacquer finish that we spray 2 to 3 coats while sanding in between to get a smooth finish, for a small upcharge. Available in Twin, Full, Queen and King. All beds are made to order and we offer free shipping on them. Headboard and footboard come fully assembled. Proudly Made in Michigan. Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Shipping policies

Time Frames - we list an average estimated time frame on all of our products of when we expect them to ship. Some items can ship quicker than the time frames listed, some can take longer. As this is custom furniture we want to ensure that all items are made to our quality standards. Some examples of things that could affect time frames are:

If a product doesn't pass our quality control it will be remade which could result in the product taking longer than estimated. We will not jeopardize quality to meet a timeline.
Holiday sales may also extend time frames due to the extra demand.
Mother Nature! Weather issues could delay orders as well.
We do our best to meet or beat the time frames listed while ensuring you will receive a product that you will enjoy for a lifetime!



Order Cancellation Process

If you need to cancel your order with Hidden Lake, please contact us as soon as possible…

We try to “expect” the unexpected. After all, unforeseen events occur. Things come up. If you need to cancel an order, we’ll do all we can to intervene on your behalf. The best way to help us help you under those circumstances is to contact us as soon as possible – and have your order # for reference.

Once the status of your order is upgraded from “Pending” to “Awaiting Fulfillment ” for furniture, we have begun procuring the materials needed to fill your Custom Order and are financially obligated to purchase them from our suppliers. Your specs will have been passed along to our manufacturing crew.

In other words, the building process has begun. Once manufacturing has begun we are required to charge a 30% cancellation fee due to the wastage of precious wood and labor costs. If manufacturing has not begun, but funds have been collected, a 5% fee will be charged on the total invoice amount.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS – we CANNOT accept returns on any of the following items:

Opened or Used Rustic Bedding/Softgoods
Custom or Other Made-to-Order Furniture
Log or Rustic Furniture in Less Than NEW Condition
Items Not Assigned a Return Merchandise Authorization or RMA #

Many items are secured to the pallet to ensure the freight company does not remove the items from the pallets and cause damage. Our craftsmen dislike seeing their hard work get damaged by negligent freight companies and we know you don't want to receive damaged furniture either. We package and crate your furniture with this in mind. A bit of extra effort in packaging is worth making sure everyone is happy and satisfied in our opinion.

Any free shipping options do not include a lift gate, but most orders can be upgraded to one. Without a lift gate the carrier will arrive and place your order at the end of trailer. It will be up to you to lift it off. The driver will pull up as safely and closely as he can to your shipping destination. If you expect a shipment, it’s best to have 2-3 sets of hands available. Special situations such as weekend or evening deliveries may require additional upcharges and are not included in our FREE standard delivery.

Characteristics of Log Furniture
All log furniture is subject to the natural process of “checking”. Checking, or cracking , happens as wood releases moisture, and normally occurs across or though the annual growth rings. It is the usual result of wood seasoning. Your safety and satisfaction is of most importance to us.
Checking occurs mainly on the surface of the wood and does not affect the structural performance or integrity of the wood. This natural process adds to the uniqueness of the pieces and lends it that certain rustic appeal that has become so popular in home and garden décor. The degree of checking will vary from product to product and from log to log.
With rustic furniture imperfections in the wood such as checking and knots are expected. Checking can range from very slight slivers to cracks running full length of the log to the heart (middle of the log) of the wood. In either case this checking is completely normal and in no way affects the integrity of the wood or the strength of the furniture.
