Small original painting in wood/earth brown (umber) and naples yellow with impasto and sgraffito accents creating glowing light in the warm wooden gloom.

Dimensions: 251 x 175 mm or approx. 10 by 7 inches.
Support: canvas paper

This work is named after Gaston Bachelard, who wrote a wonderful book on i and the varied magic of interiors/constructed places called "The Poetics of Space". This painting was an attempt to evoke a nest-like refuge, cosy as hearth and home, hidden as a small creature in a thicket or tree.

Signed and dated on the back and sent with CoA /certificate of authenticity.
A small signature monogram is also added to a lower corner of the painting surface.
