This is a luxury, but if you are going to make rya rugs, why not splurge on one little item that will make your life so much easier. Full disclosure: You can make one yourself, but it is a lot of work--just ask my husband. They are totally functional and appreciated by everyone who buys them...just read the reviews!

My grandfather, Bill Lundgren, of Lundgren Rya used to make these. I've used mine (made by Grampa) for decades, and now we are making them for you--or to be totally honest--I'm having my husband make the like my grandfather did. If you are working on a rya rug, you will have several or dozens of needles loaded with strands of yarn. It can get messy if your needles, not in use, fall onto the floor or between the couch cushions.

Sometimes I have various woods, but right now I offer the CHERRY wood block. A Cadillac needle holder.

I admit that making rya is not an inexpensive craft, but for the price, the threading block will save you LOTS of time and simply give you an even MORE pleasurable experience as you knot your rya.
