Description

Om or the Pranava is the Primordial sound the holiest of syllables, the breath of life and all creation.

Bhagavan Sathya Sai Baba says this about Om:

"Om is the sound of the movement of the stars in the firmament; it is the sound that manifested when the dawn of creative will stirred the Attribute-less into activity...Om is the origin of creation; it is the source, sustenance and strength. It is the life force of every being. ...The one Om is at the root of all the sounds in all the worlds. (Sathya Sai Baba, 1966) Sai Rapture, P39

"Om is the primeval sound; the sound caused by the vibrations of creation through the emergent Will of the Attribute-less. It is a composite of the sounds A, U, M. Just as G, O, and D are pronounced God, not Jee-Oh-Dee, so too the letters “A” “U”, and “M” are uttered as Om. “A” emanates from the gullet, U from the tongue lying in the interior of the mouth, and M from the lips. But when Om is uttered, the sound emanates from the region of the navel.
Om must be recited slowly and with deliberation. The sound must be like an aircraft, first approaching from a distance to the spot where you are, then flying away again into the distance. (Soft at first, but gradually become louder and louder, then slowly relapsing into silence, this silence after the experience is as significant as the Pranava - Om.)
Finally, end the recital with the chanting of “peace” (Shanti) three times. That completes the process of clarification and purification. The first call for peace is for the purity of the body part of the self. The second call is for purity of the mind. The third call is for purification of the spirit. This Pranava recital will tone you up, calm all agitations of the mind and quicken the downpour of grace." (Sri Sathya Sai,1978) Sai Rapture. P40

Wear the Om earrings to remind you of your divine nature and chant Om continuously.

Love the print, only thing is the sizing was a little off. I ordered the 9x12 size and it actually measures 11x11. Otherwise it's really cool! Fast shipping.
