Description

This is a very nice looking and stylish Vintage Brass Belt Buckle with a miniature Bowie Knife attached to the front. The "KNIFE" is not removable....Doing so could damage the buckle and/or knife. These buckles were released in the late 80's and early 90's. I used to sell these in my knife shop years ago and I have been wearing one of these for years myself and I always get compliments about it.

The buckles are made of solid brass with a steel miniature Bowie Knife attached to the front. The cross guard of the "knife" is made from brass, and the handle is I believe some type of plastic or bone material. The buckle measures 2 inches tall and 3 inches wide. The buckle will accommodate any belt up to 1 5/8 inches wide.

These buckles have been stored for about 17 years and most show what I thought were some slight various signs of some tarnishing (mostly around the knife), however, I was informed by a previous customer that this was not tarnishing but rather just some adhesive residue to help keep the knife on the buckle in place. The residue can easily be cleaned with something like Goo-Gone or similar product. You can also use a simple metal or brass polish or even steel wool to remove the tarnish and make the buckles shine! I used some steel wool on one the other day and it worked just fine. Cleaned the whole front side of the buckle with steel wool and it shines now! Cleaning will be left to the new owner of the buckles. Buckles are new in their original boxes.

Take a look at the various pictures I have posted for these buckles. They were taken with different lighting conditions as well as with and without a flash. The last picture shows a buckle without any flash and you can see the type of tarnishing or adhesive residue I mentioned around the knife part of the buckle. Again, each buckle will be different and have different areas and degrees of tarnishing or residue but all can be easily cleaned and will look great. All the pictures of the buckle shown in this listing are of the same buckle. Any questions, feel free to ask.

I have several of these buckles for sale so if you are interested in more than one, just let me know. These are great looking Vintage Buckles!
