The Owl is shown "face-on" to heighten the sense of a flattened two dimensional plane. Within the framework of the composition, abstract line and color are juxtaposed to the three dimensional pictorial compositional elements... making for a delightful visual potpouri. The Central Oregon image captures a wistful feeling which has been fully realized in the print making process.

ABOUT CLYDE KELLER:

Hi, I'm a photographer and artist selling my fine art prints at clydekellerphoto.etsy.com.

My work is sold as Fine Art Giclee (inkjet) prints or fade resistant Fuji Crystal Archive (photographic) prints.

Clyde is known internationally for his historic photographs of Robert F. Kennedy. His RFK images are featured in Rory Kennedy's documentary film, "ETHEL" which debuted at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights has recently acquired key images from Clyde's RFK portfolios for their collection. Historic photos of author Ken Kesey, William Burroughs and actor Bill Murray are featured in Mark Christensen's book Acid Christ. Clyde's portrait of actor/director Warren Beatty is the cover photo for Peter Biskind's, Star. Several vintage documentary images appear in a new NFL films project, entitled, "Fearsome Foursome" as well as Dan Forrer's upcoming HBO documentary film centering on the birth of Hip Hop music. The Seattle Museum of History and Science now features his vintage Seattle skyline panoramas. His regional portraits of surviving pioneer families (and characters) appear in several new books, periodicals and webzines, including Ken Bilderback's, Creek with No Name, a new soft cover about the history of Cherry Grove, Oregon.

Clyde is the grandson of Clyde Leon Keller, (1872-1962) an important Oregon-based Plein-Air Impressionist Painter. His portfolios can be viewed at www.clydekeller.com.

Felting from New Zealand wool is wonderful
I was born in Russia, and live in New Zealand with my family. My kids are the models for some of my creations, my husband is my IT and Photo consultant.

Now when I am seriously exited with felting I want all the world to see what I can do with it.

Artist Statement:

I grew up on Long Island, New York, which is an island AND a long peninsula (connected by bridges) not far from the beach and I now live in Florida, which is a long peninsula (connected by land) -- and I am not far from the beach. From the moment I could hold a crayon I have been an artist -- and possessed a "light bulb" inside my head that was always shining. It is a wonderful way to live Life -- being creative and always inspired. I feel very lucky.

I have shown in Manhattan, upstate New York, on both coasts of Florida (including Miami and Miami Beach). For a while I had an 8 foot x 8 foot mural along Collins Avenue in South Beach. One of the paintings on this website was made into a billboard that stood for a month along the bay in Sarasota, FL.

I like to see the good and beauty in everyone and everything. It is my hope that my artwork reflects these feelings.

What Elizabeth has to say...

I was privileged to attend one of the finest art schools in this country -- Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in Manhattan -- there I met very talented and interesting people.

My mother's family was from the Caribbean and probably is the reason for my fascination with marine life, plants and tropical motifs.

I appreciate your interest in my work and if you have any questions, just contact me. I also work on custom pieces and if you want to see images of paintings I have sold prior to Etsy, I would be happy to send those to you. They are in private collections.

After decades happily living and working in two farmhouses in Ontario, a log cabin in the Rockies in Montana, and two stone cottages - one in the highlands of Scotland and the other in Northern England, I am not only sharing my love of saving history and the countryside/environment, but also expressing my passions for antiques and collectables (instilled in me by both sets of grandparents) and NATURAL art. Assisted by my supportive mother, Joy, and her brother Greig, with their enthusiasm for many of the same primitive styles, and encouraged by my life partner Richard, with his graphic design and business acumen, I am lucky to be considering dressing as a pioneer women starting in spring 2011, to demonstrate my skills and wares roadside on the way from the metropolis of Toronto to the nether regions of the Muskokas (Ontario cottage country).
