Description

Mid 20th century carved wood female tiki figure. Stands 23 inches high. Female genitalia exposed under grass skirt (see last photo) so this is likely a fertility tiki. Provenance: from the 1992 estate auction of Canadian artist Maxwell Bates (1906-1980) at Lunds Auctioneers, Victoria BC, Canada.

Vintage condition. Vintage and pre-owned items are generally not flawless. The condition often includes patina, age wear and evidence of usage, some of which exactly contribute to the charm of a piece. I strive to describe the condition accurately and provide detailed images. I encourage you to contact me if you need further details.
