This Coach Embassy Briefcase number 5282 is made of beautiful mahogany leather. (Please note that the mahogany borders on brown but is clearly the same as the mahogany color sample shown if the first collage, photo number 4 above. It was also made in the United States. The number stamped on the creed is H5C-5282.
This briefcase features an extended top zipper closure to secure the large interior compartment. The interior compartment is large enough to carry a 15" laptop, ultra notebook as well as additional files, books, or electronic devices. The wall of the interior compartment features two leather pouches large enough to hold a standard I Phone 5 or Samsung Galaxy 4 as well as pens, pencils and other compact office supplies. The briefcase also has two full sized outside leather slip pockets large enough to hold books, files, supplies or additional electronic equipment. adequate soft and supple mahogany glove leather. It has silver toned brass hardware and a 46" long adjustable detachable shoulder strap with solid brass lobster claws The strap gives its owner the option to wear the bag as a cross-body.
This bag was well maintained and in very good condition. It is structurally sound without any rips, tears or holes. The mahogany leather is soft and supple yet has a substantial texture and feel to it. However, Like most vintage bags it shows some scuffs and scratches on the leather panels, handles, and hardware. In addition, there are some stains in one of the three leather interior compartments. (see photo number 5 second collage) However, overall the bag is in very good shape with no major flaws or odors.
