Description

This Camino de Santiago cross stitch pattern is a great way to commemorate a journey along the Way of St. James. The scallop shell has long been the symbol of the Camino, and it serves both practical and symbolic purposes.

The shell served as a makeshift bowl for water and food, and pilgrims would often take a Galician shell on their return home as proof of their journey. The grooves in the scallop also symbolize the different paths the pilgrims follow on route to their one destination - Santiago de Compostela, legendary home of St. James remains.

Difficulty:
This pattern is well suited for new and experienced cross-stitchers alike!

Size:
84 stitches wide by 84 stitches tall. Finished size will vary depending on the count of the fabric or canvas you choose. In 14 count (like the photographed example), the project will be just under 6 inches wide by 6 inches tall (15.2 cm wide by 15.2 cm tall) before it's finished in a frame.

Format:
This is for the pattern only. This is not a kit nor is it the finished product. The pattern comes in .PDF format with a full color chart, color legend with DMC numbers and a rough skein count, and instructions for cross-stitch. All pages will be formatted to 8 1/2" x 11" paper. You will need Adobe Reader to open the file, which you can get free at http://get.adobe.com/reader/

This is such a beautiful color and I didn't realize how well it goes with DCM 4505 until I saw them together. Purchased for separate projects, but now I'm thinking of putting them together on the same project. Super fast shipping and great service!! Highly recommend.

Additional policies

Kits are produced in my smoke-free and pet-friendly home. Larger kits are packaged so that the canvas or cloth is rolled, not folded. This prevents the issue of the canvas or fabric distorting on the folds.

I do take custom orders, such as creating a specific name pattern using one of my existing alphabet patterns. Please convo me and we'll discuss!
