Large nylon studs or buttons with equally nylon posts. This was very common at the time and I've worn this kind of earrings a lot without any problems.

The round forms are decorated with a fan design which is slightly asymmetrical but they are not mirrored. The posts are centered so you can turn the design in any position you like.

Measures 1" or 2,5 cm.
