Description

Occupied Japan" (OJ) is a term used for the time period from 1945 (after World War II) through April 25, 1952; it was during this time that the Allies "occupied" Japan. As Japan needed to rebuild their economy after the war, part of the agreement to allow them to export goods out of their country was that they had to mark 50% of all items with "Occupied Japan" or "Made in Occupied Japan."

The colors in this saucer are lovely and bright There is slight rub in the yellow portion of the saucer, approximately 1/4. I couldn't get a good photo of it and it is hardly noticeable. I did get a picture of the tiny chip and slight crack on the back of the saucer. You can see it just above my thumb in the picture. All in all, this is a really pretty piece and would make a great addition to your collection.

I ordered these two lunches plates. They were both broken. Linda Spaulding at MilllRiverVintages would not deal with it so I had to file the claim. The plates were very poorly packed. They had a little bubble wrap around them but were put in a box to big and no other filler . There was no way they could make it when they rattled around in that box. She claimed they were packed perfect and they were not. I would not order from her again
