Hertz Pottery Birdhouses have a 1.3 inch hole favored by Wrens and Chickadees. Each birdhouse has a hanging hole on the back, a drainage hole in the bottom, and a perch hole on the front. The houses never need to be cleaned out-- the birds take out old nesting material and put in new when they make a new nest. They should be hung where they never are in direct sunlight, and where they can be seen and enjoyed by you and the birds.The birdhouse outside of our studio has hung in the same spot for over 25 years and seems to be occupied all of the time.

Each birdhouse is wheel-thrown with a white stoneware and measures approximately 5 inches tall by 4 inches wide with a 1.3 inch opening.
