Mod/ Art Deco Glass Ashtray

This is a beautiful, fascinating piece. It has a very modern design, but the glass has a purplish hue which is typically found in glass made before 1917 that contained manganese as a clarifying agent. When this glass is exposed exposed to sunlight it turns a lovely light purple that this ashtray has. Unfortunately, there are no maker's marks nor is there a paper sticker on this lovely piece. The ashtray is 4 1/2 inches in diameter and stands 5 inches at its highest. The base is 2 3/4 inches in diameter. This hefty piece weighs over three pounds.

I have used it as a display piece and a vase. It has far more uses than as an ashtray.

We will double box this treasure with bubble wrap and air pillows to ensure safe delivery to your home.
