Colorful Steampunk sunglasses made of vintage gold filled parts create this stunning pair of custom eyewear for adult men and women to wear.

Restored from a broken state into these like-new mid-century style gold sunglasses, adult men and women will appreciate the practical use and eco friendliness of these restored twelve karat gold filled eyewear. Dated to have been originally made in the forties, the eyewear parts that make these sunglasses have been cleaned and repaired to become usable once more with new UVA/UVB rated reflective acrylic lenses that were hand cut and custom fitted especially for these one of a kind spectacles.

Create a pair of custom sunglasses for yourself by choosing what color of lens you would like to be made with these sunglasses:
(1) Gradient Night Grey
(2) Sunset Gradient Yellow Gold
(3) Bright Antique Silver
(4) Bright Ocean Blue

The original lens shape that would have been paired with these frames was used to keep these newly restored sunglasses close to the original vintage look and a very clear makers mark that can be seen on the nose bridge, the arms and the frame only adds to the feel of authenticity.

Complimenting the restored eyewear frames are three types of cases - a vintage hinged case, a modern new hard case, or a new soft case - to help the new owner keep these specs in near fine condition. The vintage case option is unique to the restored eyewear designs by AtticRaiders, and not every pair of spectacles has one on offer to pair together.

These sunglasses have the option of a vintage blue leather case - leather that wraps around and covers a hinged 'clamshell' style case with a matching blue lining inside it. The case snaps closed and opens smoothly with two interesting marks on it of note; The Canadian optometrist that issued these gold filled frames in the mid-century has stamped their name and location in gold ink on the top of the leather vintage case and underneath the case is a crisp 'Made in Canada" stamp indicating that the case was Canadian made.

Travel smart with a unique piece of restored and customizable eyewear to wear and show off - bringing the past into the future again for another lifetime of use and travel well with the right accessories for you and the adventure ahead.

- These sunglasses meet AtticRaiders Waste Reduction Creed to do more with less and leave little behind, diverting materials that would have been thrown away but have been restored for another lifetime of enjoyment and use.

- The frames were original designed by an American company called 'American Optical' in response to the growing number of drivers on the road. Promising a 'full vu' in front of them, drivers everywhere started to wear the frames that were designed with raised temple arms as to not obstruct the peripheral vision of the wearer and the added confidence of a comfortable curled arm end to securely wrap behind the ears preventing them from slipping down. The new style called "Full Vu' became immensely popular and as a result is considered one of the iconic eyewear styles of the 40's and into the 50's too.

Love this so much!!! I bought it to hold my parasol and fan for my steampunk costume and they fit beautifully in it. It is very well crafted and the handwritten, wax sealed thank you note was such a lovely and thoughtful touch. I am so excited to use my new holder. Thank you for such amazing craftsmanship. :)

I am absolutely in love. This was one of those things that I didn't realize I needed until I saw it. I use a parasol daily during the summer and usually have a fan stashed in my bag. Now I have a holster for them that is beautiful and very functional! The leather is beautifully designed and nice and soft. Melissa is delightful to work with and my package got here quickly. I mean Edmonton to Phoenix, AZ is quite a ways but it arrived in time for me to take it to the local botanical garden for a proper socially distanced outing. I can't wait to show it off. Also can't wait to get a few other things that I now must have. ❤

This is a beautiful and extremely unique piece and I love everything about it! I'd love to get another one with either a gold or silver frame eventually. I cannot wait until we can do in person events again, because my half-elf wizard is going to rock this so hard! I also loved the wax sealed note that came with it. I will definitely buy from this shop again and highly recommend them to anyone!
