Beautiful masks featuring a Tibetan skeleton deity called Chitipati, or Shmashana Adhipati. They are mother and father skeletons particular to Tibetan and Himalayan forms of Buddhism.

This iconography is also similar to a pair of dancing skeletons found in Tibetan Buddhism related to the religious Cham dance. In this form they are depicted as jesters or servants for other deities and represent worldly spirits.

These masks here can be said to be either one. They also have a striking similarity to Mexican Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) sugar skulls.

These masks are a Himalaya Hardware exclusive collaboration with a master craftsman. The adornments attached with pegs. Because they are hand made, you will see slight variations in color and size.
