Finding quality oil paintings on a limited budget can be challenging. I live in Seattle and and am drawn to strong landscapes. Winter scenes can be tricky and I've passed on several but found that several of the Ukrainian artists perfectly capture the winter light and snow. In fact when this piece arrived my husband commented about how much it looked like one of the Canadian "Group of Seven" and I didn't have to spend tens of thousands of dollars!

I can't say enough good things about Pavlo--my painting arrived in perfect condition in less than 2 weeks. Great wrapping techinque to preserve the edges on the cardboard. I like that many of them are done on cardboard rather than canvas--it adds to the character of the piece and demonstrates the fine abilities of these artists. Love this shop!!!

My painting arrived in a timely manner and packaging was excellent. As for the painting itself. It is lovely but the board is not a standard American version of canvas board. It's considered canvas paper in the U.S. Anyway...I contacted the shop owner about this issue and she was willing to take back the painting. As I was getting ready to send the painting back, my father-in-law saw it and loved it because it looked like his brother Jimmy when he was alive. So, instead of sending the painting back to the seller; I gifted the painting to my father-in-law. In the end everyone was happy.
Would I purchase from this seller again. Yes. I thought she was being honest. Perhaps the misunderstanding about the canvas board is more of a material standard issue of each country. Next time I will ask more questions.
