This listing is for a .pdf instant download of a plush sewing pattern, made to look like a plush Tanuki -- that is a Japanese raccoon dog. It's known for its magical powers in many Japanese myths and legends and uses its magic leaf to shape shift. But beyond the stories it's just a cute cousin to the raccoon with a chubby body, striped tail, cute face, and little head leaf.

It is sewing pattern with complete instructions to create the plush from start to finish -- including step-by-step photos and a printable pattern. It is suitable for beginners as it also includes extra tips on working with your .pdf pattern and for gathering basic tools, so you're helped every step of the way.

The face is done with machine applique, but embroidery files are also available. They are sold separately here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/727444463/simple-faces-machine-embroidery-file
