This is a Fennel and Kassel Leather instrument Case with a Company Logo and date stamp of 1938. This case more than likely held a surveying transit. With the 1938 date stamp it is most likely WWII surplus from Germany.

The case has a front clasp that stretches down over a peg to secure the cases contents. It has belt loops on the back enabling it to be affixed to a belt. It is made of durable thick leather. It can be used as a storage box but may have more utility as a collectors item for collectors of World War II surplus goods.

Height: 8 inches

Width: 2 inches

Length: 4 inches

This case is in very good condition. Especially for a case that was produced over 77 years ago. There are no rips, tears or holes. The stitching is intact. However, as you would expect it has suffered from scuffing and scratching over the years. But not as much as you would expect.
