Description

Silver and platinum and blue-shaded nickel with lively orchid confetti in fuchsia, magenta, iris blue and cobalt. Icy cool with a vibrant purple heartbeat. And utterly fabulous.

::What are all these yarn bases?::
Yardage and fiber content for each of my bases is listed in the "About" section of this shop. Go to https://www.etsy.com/shop/dyedianadye#about and make sure you click the "More" link. Or, just scroll to the very bottom of this page to see them in my FAQs.

::Can I see more pictures?::
Color details, including more photos and links to projects are here: https://www.ravelry.com/discuss/dyedianadye/3206134/26-50#27 - if you're not a Ravelry member, join! It's free and wonderful.

::Will you cake my yarn?::
I will happily cake your yarn or even gift bag it! See this listing to order: https://www.etsy.com/listing/247281984/yarn-caked-and-gift-bagged

::What about new colorways? And are there scheduled updates?::
In addition to some special events, there are regular releases of brand new colors directly to Dye-to-Order. If you're a Ravelry member, visit https://www.ravelry.com/groups/dyedianadye to be in the know and join the conversation.

::How should I care for my yarn?::
Hand washing is recommended. The dyes I use are low-impact Procion MX fiber reactive dyes in a cold water process, randomly distributing color, sometimes in multiple baths to produce a glazed and layered effect. There is no regular striping or predictable pooling. In the silk blend yarns, both the silk and plant fibers take up the color. You may have a slight coloring of water in the first bath, but the color of your yarn will not change.

Colors strike and move differently on different fibers. In addition, color movement and flow will vary from base to base and lot to lot and skein to skein. If your garment requires more than a single skein, consider alternating between skeins.

And, thank you for visiting!

TussaLin (TL)
65% Tussah Silk, 35% Linen, in light fingering/heavy lace weight at 756y/691m/4oz. Wild silk and fluffy linen, rustic, with a matte finish, very soft for linen, knits up light as air and holds a block beautifully. TL is not strong enough to be used as a warp in weaving. Spun in Canada.
:: Note: TL is very toothy and notoriously tricky to cake!
If you're concerned about doing it yourself, I recommend you order "cake yarn(fing/lace)" @ $3 per when you purchase. *I'm not saying this to get rich, either, or I'd definitely charge more. https://www.etsy.com/listing/247281984/yarn-caked-and-optionally-gift-bagged-an
