Description

Poul Anderson: "The Dancer from Atlantis", syfy book club hardcover with Frank Frazetta cover art, published c. 1971 by Doubleday.

From our "Books to Read and Collect" editions.

This is a very good plus book. The original vintage paper jacket shows some tanning in places where it is white, but not overly so. There are no large tears to the jacket and it is not clipped, there is some mild edge wear at the inside front lower flap, and a tiny perforation at the back edge of the spine below the title and small scuff. Mild surface wear from storage to semi-glossy finish.

The book spine is tight and square, no lean. Top of text block edge shows some very slight dust spotting. No turned down page corners, no writing. Book feels nice and tight.

Synopsis of story review (Review © 2000 by Thomas M. Wagner):
"Anderson has penned many stories about the ancient world and time travel, but few are as sumptuously realized as this one. Although I thought The Corridors of Time might have worked a little better as a story, in The Dancer from Atlantis, Anderson's skill at evoking the wonder and majesty of ages past, and making it all seem so alive, is truly dazzling. With only occasional narrative choppiness and some dated prose stylings to mar it slightly for today's readers' tastes, this novel is really breathtaking romantic adventure storytelling. [...]

Simply put, The Dancer from Atlantis is a memorable odyssey through time to an ancient world that never was, by probably the one man in all of fantasy and SF most qualified to take us there."

FAQs

In most cases, I can offer combined shipping discounts on multiple items.

You do not need to do anything. Place your order for your items, and when I am fulfilling your order, I will credit back excess shipping fees to your account.
If an item gets stalled in transit, let me know. I can open a case with USPS to track it down. Please allow 2 weeks for me to work with USPS to locate your package.

If a package is marked "Delivered" but you did not get it, let me know. I will call your P.O. to speak with the carrier directly or have them check the GPS scan on the package. If theft is suspected, I will ask you to file a Stolen Mail Claim with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and your local law enforcement. These records are essential to help catch mail thieves.

If an item arrives damaged, hold on to all packing materials. I require photographs of the damaged item and the packing materials to refund. I may ask that the item be returned to me at my expense.
If you notice the error prior to receiving the shipping notice, let me know ASAP.

Unfortunately, once a package is shipped out to an incorrect address, there is little I can do to get it back.

Please make sure your address within Etsy is correct before finalizing your order.
Art & Prints:

To request a return, please contact me within 7 days of delivery. Late requests may be declined.

The item must be returned to me in the same condition as when we sent it - I.E - "as new", salable condition - for a refund. Return shipping at buyers expense.

Refunds will be credited upon our receipt of the item.

I recommend that you purchase tracking and insurance for the return package, as items lost during return shipping not insured are sadly: lost.

Refunds are for the item price only.

As per our policies page, we are diligent about our descriptions, and in more than 7 years on Etsy, have never had a return.
