Emerald ring; breathtaking Edwardian era genuine Colombian emerald and diamond engagement ring or right hand ring in 14k rose gold and platinum from about 1910. The emerald stone is magnificent in it's brilliance and clarity, one of the nicest I have come across and weighs approximately 1.55 carats. It is a stunning saturated ideal glowing emerald green with slight desirable inclusions ("jardin"). 14 shimmery old transitional cut diamonds encircle the center emerald. Each of the diamonds measures 3 mm across (.10 ct each) for a total diamond carat weight for the ring of about 1.4 carats. The setting is wonderfully airily architectural with elaborate hand carved open work with a pretty scrolling ocean theme on the basket, still in excellent crisp condition. The diamonds are estimated VSI1 and in the early near colorless range or better. Inside of the band is stamped with the European stamp for 14K gold "14c". Ring has a luxurious weight of 4 grams.

Symbolism: The emerald stone is said to encourage growth, reflection, peace and balance. It also represents healing and fertility. The green tones reflected in the emerald are tempered by a cool blue which symbolizes a steadfast bond. This, along with the gem’s rarity, makes the stone a unique alternative to a traditional diamond engagement ring!

This is currently about a size US 7.25 or just a hair larger and I am offering complementary sizing up to 3.5 sizes up or down for this piece. Please allow 3-5 days for my local expert bench jeweler to complete custom sizing. Ring will be shipped insured, signature required in pretty presentation box, ready for presenting.

I wish I could add multiple photos here. Review is of the wedding 5 diamond gold band. I just purchased this after searching for days for the perfect vintage, specifically 1940s ring. I was magnetically drawn to this ring over anything from all over the web and different sites. I had a little doubt when I first purchased, but was assured that a return was an option. I’m so in love with it, I cried when I opened the box and first saw it. I was searching for a ring for my upcoming elopement and it matched perfectly with my (non vintage) engagement ring. If anyone questions mixing metals, I now have rose gold, gold, and white gold on my finger and it’s beautiful! Another added plus is that my Nana’s original wedding band from 1946 will fit right in between my rings. I’m so over the moon with this ring. THANK YOU!!!
