This stunning chromolithograph of bertolonia guttata is from a well-known 1891 book, New and Rare Beautiful Leaved Plants, by Shirley Hibberd, published in London. The leaf has a very life-like velvety sheen that the scanner does not capture. It is more visible in the last photo with the pen for scale.

The wood-engraved plate is on thick paper that is almost card stock -- perfect for framing! There is a small stain at the bottom left corner, but this can of course be hidden by framing.

This 140-year-old plate sells for as much as $50 at other online fine art print shops.
