Description

This Irish National Tartan Kilt is made of 8 yards, 16oz heavy weight Poly-Viscose with fringe on the apron and deep pleats. Each and every pleat at the back is individually sewn to ensure that they stay sharp. The Kilt has three leather straps offers flexibility to best fit on you. This kilt is ideal for special occasions like wedding events sports events like Football, Rugby Games, Scouts, or simply Fashion wear.

How to Measure a Kilt?
Waist:

Take your measuring tape and run it around yourself where you want the top of your kilt to sit whether low waist or High . Do pull it just slightly snug. Not tight, just snug. Stand straight and let things fall where they may. No sucking in or pushing out of the gut.

Hip –
Measure loosely around the widest part of your HIp. How do you know where the widest part is? Stand with your back to a wall and slowly back up. The bit that touches the wall first is where you want your Trusty Assistant to measure.

Length:

A kilt is worn roughly at the knee. If you like a very traditional look then you’ll want to have your kilt at the top of your knee. If you’re not one for rules and like your kilt to ride low on your hips then you might like to have it at the bottom of your knee. In the photos above, my kilt is right about mid-knee because that’s how I roll. Okay, stand nice and straight and have your Assistant measure down your side from where you took your waist measurement to the spot on your knee where you want the hem of your kilt to fall.

Ook al wordt dit in Belgie niet gedragen vindt ik het persoonlijk geweldig en nog comfortabel ook ( luchtig en bovenal genoeg zakken voor persoonlijke zaken in weg te bergen ).

Even if this is not worn in Belgium I think it is great and comfortable (airy and above all enough pockets for personal matters to store away).

This seems decent enough but I ordered a size too small. I liked it enough to order a larger size. I look forward to receiving that.

I don't have an issue with the kilt, it's constructed well. My issue is with the customer service.

I messaged the seller after I received the kilt, mainly b/c the shipping information hadn't updated at all on Etsy (it said it had been purchased & that was it). I asked the seller if this was indeed my order since I didn't know it had been shipped & received back a simple "ok."

I gifted the kilt for Christmas & it turns out that I got the sizing wrong. I messaged the seller right after Christmas to see if there was anything that could be done. I didn't hear back from them for 2 weeks & this was only b/c I sent another message asking if they had received my 1st note. Long story short, they couldn't do anything about it, because it's "custom" made (I'm sure they would have no other orders ever for a size 40, 23 length). Sure.
