•Here is a Native American inspired Turquoise necklace with two genuine wolf fangs and wooden beads. The Turquoise stone is stabilized genuine American Turquoise, and once was set in an authentic Navajo made silver pendant. The wolf teeth are from a north american wolf and are genuine. I used blue and raw natural hemp cord in a macrame knotted style, and accented the necklace with wooden beads. It is held together by a bead clasp; a wooden bead fits through a macrame stitched loop on the opposite end. Natural hem is quite coarse when freshly used. However with time, and wear, it softens as it absorbs the bodies natural oils.•

•Legend has it that the Native American Indians danced and rejoiced when the rains came. Their tears of joy mixed with the rain and absorbed into the earth to become the "Sky-Stone", Turquoise.
Turquoise has been valued by cultures for its beauty and reputed spiritual and life-giving qualities for thousands of years. Across Meso-America, almost all First Nations people were affiliated with Turquoise; some of which were the Incas, Mayans and Aztecs. Across the world, ancient Egyptians loved Turquoise so much, that the Godlike Royalty adorned themselves with it as the most prized stone. The deathmask of boy-king Tutankhamun had Turquoise set in it's face, among other precious stones. Something about this captivating blue (sometimes green, light blue or dark blue) stone has held the imagination and love of ancient peoples down to this day.•

•My purpose with NewEarth is to create pendants and jewelry not only for aestetic appeal, but to share and encourage awareness, appreciation, and love for our earth and every beautiful mystery on it. With every piece I create, I draw inspiration from the way ancient cultures viewed the world around them. In a time where wood, stone, plant and creature made up the environment, beautiful stones and crystals had a captivating, alien beauty. In turn, they were exalted and seen as something awe-inspiring, otherworldly, and divine. Though our world today is a much different reality than what our ancestors experienced, we can still appreciate and continue the ancient view of precious stones. Through NewEarth, I strive to preserve that ancient respect and love for all things that even today, captivate our imagination•
