More info:
As part of my Chinese Zodiac series, this hand-drawn and hand-painted 4x6 (vertical) watercolor painting is the eighth of the Chinese Zodiac animals: The Sheep (sometimes interchanged with a goat). Mild-mannered, shy, kind, creative, and a wanderer, The Sheep is the patron for those born in 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, and 2015*. As you may know, many things in Japanese culture were imported from China hundreds or even thousands of years ago, including the Chinese Zodiac. Over time, the Japanese have made it and many other cultural imports their own. The zodiac is very much a part of Japanese culture, and as my paintings are largely Japanese-influenced, I have decided to include the Japanese character for the animals rather than the Chinese character. But if you ask nicely, I can write the Chinese character for you instead if you prefer. In any case, these cute animals make a great gift or a fun way to celebrate the unique personality of each member in your home.

*For those born in January or February, please use an online calculator to check your birth animal, as there is about a 1-month difference between the lunar (Chinese) and solar (Western) calendars.

Shipping policies

Once you make your order, it will take me 3-5 days to paint it and ship it out to you. Once it's shipped, it will take about 7-11 days to reach you (USA and Europe), so count on 10-14 days between when you order and when your painting(s) will arrive. Unfortunately, tracking is not available.

All items are shipped in sealed cellophane bags inside an envelope. All items are sent via airmail, and are mailed as letters so I've never run into any customs issues, but if there are any customs duties they are customers' responsibility.

If you buy more than one item, you will only pay the shipping cost once.

With expedited shipping, you'll receive your item in 3-4 days but is about 3 times as expensive as regular airmail. With expedited shipping up to 30 items can be shipped in the same envelope for one price (to same address).
