The story of Odhinn's winning of the sacred mead, called the Odhrerir, is here symbolized by three drinking horns. Odhinn used trickery and magic to find his way into the secret mountain chamber where the beautiful woman Gunnlodh kept watch over the mead. Seducing her for three nights, each night he drank from one of the three cauldrons in which the mead was kept. After the third night, he changed himself into an eagle and flew back to his kingdom of Asgard. The eagle is portrayed on the back of the pendant.

The pendant itself measures about 1" to 1 and 1/4" and comes on a bronze bail. It is a completely original design carved in wax and molded. Each triple horn pendant is cast using the lost wax casting method in our studio. It is hand finished and strung on a leather cord which is adjustable. Please choose whether you would like black or brown leather when purchasing.

This pendant design is also available in silver:

This is beyond gorgeous in my eyes, and shipped immediately. My last name, which i've never altered for any marriage thing is a Norse Viking name meaning "bear fighter" and I wear this with pride. I'm honored and feel lucky to be alive during a resurgence of appreciation for these wild, proud, fierce people.
