Equus October is a chestnut brown crelly with gold and copper microglitter. Two to three coats are recommended.

The ritual of the Equus October ("October Horse") on October 15 was the only known horse sacrifice in Roman religion. The ritual was dedicated to Mars, who was both a god of war and a god of agriculture, so the festival celebrated the harvest and the return of soldiers from war. The Romans held a chariot race, and one of the horses from the winning team was killed with a spear and sacrificed to Mars. The blood from the horse's tail was sprinkled on the sacred hearth of Vesta. Meanwhile, two neighborhoods in Rome held a contest to win the right to display the horse's head.

As this is a handmade product, bottles may vary slightly from batch to batch; but I try to minimize this as much as possible.
