What is the difference between Forever One and generic Moissanite?

Moissanite was introduced to the jewelry market in 1998 after Charles and Colvard received patents to create and market lab-grown silicon carbide gemstones, becoming the first firm to do so. They currently make their highest quality loose gems under the trademark Forever One. When you purchase these stones from us, you will receive a certificate of authenticity that includes a lifetime warranty on your stone from Charles and Colvard. Generic moissanites are, as the name implies, brand less and are not protected by a registered trademark and are therefore more affordable. This does not mean that their quality is inferior or they will not last as long as Forever One stones. The process of making this order is 5-6 days as stated in the shipping and handling section of my store. The reason it takes that amount of time is because I start making them from scratch once the order is received. I prefer to give my retail customers a more “fresh from the oven” jewelry to make them more personal rather than ship something in stock.

While diamonds are created from the compression of coal and minerals over many hundreds of years in the earth, moissanite comes from the stars. Originally, this rare gem was found in fragments of meteorite in pieces so small that cutting a gemstone from them was impossible. After many years of work this natural mineral was successfully grown in a lab. This process allowed Charles & Colvard to create some of the most brilliant and beautiful colorless gems, rivaling the traditional beauty of diamonds in clarity and size and outshining diamonds with their brilliance and fire. However many companies now make moissanite. They are called generic moissanite. Forever one comes with lifetime warranty.

It is important to properly care for simulated diamonds to keep them shiny and radiant for many years.

Remove your ring when working out, showering or bathing, when applying lotions, using hairspray, or chemicals such as acetone.

Use a soft brush to clean the stones themselves, scrubbing gently with warm, mild soapy water to get rid of any dirt accumulation. Rinse the stones well in warm water, since soap scum can build up easily, and then pat it dry with a soft, clean cloth. Don't ever use tissues to wash or dry jewelry

I give this seller 5 stars! For one, the ring is beautiful, and handmade. And two, every time I had a question, or anything while I waited on my ring to be made and arrive, I messaged her on here, and she messaged me back very promptly and always had the answers I was looking for. I wish I knew your name to thank you personally, but I'll go with the closest thing to it, thank you Zhedora. The ring turned out beautiful, I love it. The only thing I would suggest to everyone is that if you are getting it, and need it on a certain day, order 2-3 weeks early so you receive it on time. My fiancé made the mistake of not reading the details before he ordered, and my ring had to be hand made and sized, and he ordered it for my birthday which was May 22nd and I didn't get it until May 27th. But everything else was perfect. :)
