Tricky Triangle, Peg Solitarie, the Cracker Barrel Game, Last Man Standing —this puzzle goes by many different monikers, but the fun challenge remains no matter what you call it. This popular game is said to have roots all the way back to the court of Louis XIV in the 1600s. This is a perfect Father's Day or ideal gift for that hard-to-shop nephew or grandson or any other person!
We gave this old-fashioned game a modern facelift with a hand-rubbed natural finish, long-lasting walnut wood, and iron spikes. Aesthetic, durable, and fun! Carefully sanded satin smooth and rounded corners contribute to a high-quality product you'll be proud to have sitting on your coffee table or end table.
If you're a bit hazy on the instructions, the exact rules are to fill the entire board with nails except for the center hole. Jump and remove each jumped nail until you no longer have any standing beside each other. The goal is to end up with only the center nail left. A common variation is to start with any random spot empty and just try to jump and remove as many nails as possible. That's usually enough of a challenge for us!
May you enjoy many hours of solving this old-fashioned brain teaser!
