Description

Beautiful, all-natural mother-of-pearl bracelet. Round element features a silver stenciled design on the face along with a signature Swarovski crystal. Measures 2" across. Silver finish bracelet opens under the centerpiece, with no-pinch hinge on the bottom. Mother of pearl, or nacre, is an iridescent layer of material that forms the shell lining of many mollusks such as pearl oysters and abalone. This pearly material has long been used by people living near the ocean as well as by many early cultures who used it in jewelry. Today, mother-of-pearl is widely used as an inlay in jewelry, furniture, and musical instruments -and sometimes it is used to make spoon-like utensils for caviar, so the taste is not spoiled by metallic spoons. Inspired by life on the New England coast and the adjacent White Mountains, Grannique uses natural stones and materials - both sourced and collected - for one-of-a-kind, eye-catching jewelry. Comfortable and elegant, each piece reflects both Mother Nature and the one who wears it!
