Pip-Boy 3000 Mark IV Kit
Pip-Boy 3000 Mark IV Kit
I have at two of these printed in each size and ready to ship from the US at all times.
A Pip-boy kit 3D printed in ABS plastic. These are the 3D printed parts and most of the hardware. Sanding, painting and assembly of the nearly 50 parts will be required. ABS can be smoothed with acetone for a great look. Check out the link below for instructions on assembling the kit. The pipboy is available in three sizes: 100%, 108% and 115%. I am now printing some of the parts in gray and black in order to save time painting, these are the same parts that are painted gray and black in the instructions. This is the phone version, Not the Accurate Version.
Examine the drawings and the table. Measure your phone and arm then compare to the table to determine what Pipboy is the best fit.
Thanks to YTec for creating this extraordinary gadget and putting it out there. This product is the same as the one in the link below.

Product was great and turned out perfect. Shipment was fast and all the pieces were there (unlike some sellers). Only a tiny amount of trimming with a small file was needed to make a piece fit (but this is standard for 3D printing) otherwise all the pieces fit perfect. Can't wait to wear this with my costume at Dragon Con :)
Bought two of these for a Fallout 4 cosplay. They turned out looking great! Tom (Pieces of Game) was wonderful in answering all my questions. Instructions were a little hard to follow and it takes much longer than you would think to put together. Also if you are try to put your phone into the pipboy you have to actually take a piece of it apart and then put your phone in and THEN screw the top on. So if you want you phone to be easily accessible to take in and out -- it won't be so beware. We ended up just printing a glossy photo of a pipboy screen to use instead so we could take photos.
I had a blast assembling this kit! In the past I have tried making my own scratch build pip-boys but they never had the "feel" that I wanted. Luckily this kit fixed that! All the parts were fairly smooth and required minimal amounts of sanding. One piece I received had a large gash in it but i decided to leave it as it made the kit unique. There were a few missing screws that made it kinda weird to assemble but nothing I couldn't supplement with my own. Took me about 1 week to assemble, sand, paint, and finish. All in all this is a great kit for a very reasonable price compared to buying the Wand Company kit or the Collector's edition.
We had a ton of fun with my 6 year old assembling it. Together with painting, it took us around 10 hours of work and we are yet to install screen and electronics. :) Looks impressive after painting!
