Description

Here’s a cute late 60s, early 1970s Mod navy blue and white geometric pattern empire waist princess dress with its own little white daisy pin! This cutie is sleeveless, fitted through the bodice, then flares to a nicely full skirt.

- No manufacturer or size tags, but it does have a care tag that identifies the fabric as 100% polyester double knit. Would best fit a modern Small to Medium (U.S. 6 to 8), but please go by the measurements below. (Note: it has been clipped at the waist on the mannequin to give you an idea of how it would look if it fits you.)
- Closes in back with an 18” metal Talon zipper plus hook and eye at the neck. The dress is not lined and there are no pockets or shoulder pads. The cute little daisy is just pinned to the dress and easily removed if you prefer something else.
- Condition: excellent used vintage condition. No holes, stains, or tears. Maybe a few minor and unnoticeable picks that blend in with the fabric. Facing around the armholes is a pale cream. I don’t know if that’s original or if it darkened with age. Not noticeable. Gently washed and carefully stored.

Miss Truvey Mannequin’s measurements are 32½-24½-34½ and she stands about 5’7”. This cutie is a little large on her. The fabric has a little give. Please compare the measurements of this dress to the measurements of a similar garment that fits you comfortably.
Length (back neck seam to hem bottom): 37” / 93.98cm
Bust: 35 ½” / 90.17cm
Waist: 31” / 78.7cm
Hips: free, 46” / 116.84cm
Back neck seam to waist: 14 ½” / 36.8cm
Sleeveless shoulder seam to seam: 14” / 35.56cm
Hem circumference: 68” / 172.7cm

Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
International Buyers, PLEASE READ. This shop does NOT include Customs/VAT/Fees in the total price! We are not registered or allowed to do so. The total price is for the item(s) and the cost of shipping them to you. You will need to pay whatever your government's VAT/customs/fees are owed when the package arrives. International packages will be packed to best withstand the rigors of travel and will sometimes require signature on delivery. We will not alter the customs form reflect a different price or be marked as a gift; please don't even ask. The customs form is a legal document and carries a stiff penalty for the seller if misrepresented. In addition, insurance requires that the amount be correct if a claim is made.

PayPal or Direct Checkout (which may take up to 48 hours for payment to process) are the preferred methods of payment. We will accept "other" types of payment, but please convo me first so we don't assume lack of payment is lack of interest! Only at your prior request will we post "Other" for those rare occasions when cash, or money order (bank certified is preferred) is needed.

Immediate payment is best, but certainly expected within 24 hours of purchase. After 24 hours we will assume you’ve had a change of heart and we will cancel the sale and re-list the item. (KY residents will have a 6% tax added to the total.)

Returns & exchanges

I gladly accept returns and cancellations
Contact me within: 3 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 7 days of delivery

I don't accept exchanges
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
We always hope sales will be final because you've carefully looked at all the pictures, read the description, asked any questions, and compared the measurements to items you already have. We do our absolute best to point out any flaws and to give accurate measurements.

If, however, you feel that the item was (accidentally) misrepresented or there is something that makes you unhappy and you wish to return it, please let me know within three days of receipt. You will need to ship the item back as soon as possible. Once I see that the item is in the same condition as it was sent, I will refund (through PayPal) the cost of the item only. Shipping is at your expense. Please, please check the measurements against something you already own that fits you well. If you need additional measurements, don’t hesitate to ask. We want you to be happy with your purchase!

Shipping policies

U.S. buyers, anything over a pound must now ship Priority Mail. If under a pound, you can choose parcel or Priority. All buyers, anything that will fit, or can ship safely, in a bubble wrap envelope will ship that way. Combined shipping is always the most economical and we’re happy to do that!

We will ship within 72 hours of payment receipt, usually the next day (except weekends and holidays). Please make sure your Direct Checkout or PayPal address is correct as that is the address that will be used. We cannot be responsible if an item is lost because the address given was incorrect.

Sorry, we can’t offer refunds for late, lost, or damaged packages; once the package leaves our hands we have no control over what happens to it or how long it takes to be delivered. Some shipments may take six to eight weeks, but if you feel the item's lost, you should file a claim with the carrier. I'll be glad to help in any way I can, with proof of shipping, tracking, and customs information. In case of shipping damage, you will need to furnish photos of the packaging and the damaged item. You may also be required to furnish an affidavit to the insurance company.

Whenever possible, we recycle packing and shipping materials rather than add to the landfill. If you prefer otherwise, just let me know.

Additional policies

Vintage clothing has had a prior life and, like most of us, is neither perfect nor pristine. Small flaws, creases, scuffs, fading, picks, moth nibbles, and other evidence of wear are to be expected. Even unworn items have been stored “somewhere” for the past 20+ years and may have signs of that.

We will wash items that are washable, and dry clean many of them (and let you know which items were not). You should still plan on re-washing or re-dry cleaning if you have any sensitivity to detergents and cleaning fluids. Sometimes more than one cleaning is needed.

Most vintage clothing was worn during a time when smoking cigarettes, cigars, or pipes, was socially acceptable. Vintage deodorant usually didn't eliminate perspiration odor, it simply masked it with a stronger, more pleasant smell. Vintage fashionable men and women often didn't feel fully dressed without their aftershave, cologne, or perfume. All of these odors can sometimes linger in clothing.

We have no way of knowing the history of the previous owners, how they lived, whether they smoked, had pets, or didn't bathe often. Fortunately, modern cleaning may remove any traces, but, again, it may take more than one cleaning.

Because all computer monitors have different settings, colors of any item may vary between the computer image and the actual product.

This is a cat and dog friendly home. The “kids” are not allowed in the studio where the vintage items are kept. Please be aware, however, that even with the best intentions, an occasional pet hair may get past us.
