What I enjoy most about these teapots is the juxtaposition of formal beauty with the whimsy of discovering the original use of the components that comprise the whole.

This powerful teapot was hand built from molds and beautifully glazed so that its one-of-a-kind presence will bring beauty to your dining room. The body of this teapot was created from molds made of a plastic sand castle pail. The spout and handles were made from molds taken from an electric coffee pot, and the lid was made from the mold of a plastic figurine.

This teapot is fully functional and stands about 7" tall and 4.5" wide. From spout to handle it is about 6.5" long.

*Please view all images carefully. We do our best to capture all the nuances and details of each piece, but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask us!*

**Each item is functional, food safe, and can be washed in the dishwasher or used in the microwave**

Each piece is individually hand built from molds created from found objects. These objects range from heirlooms handed down from both of my grandmothers, to items usually discarded in the trash or found washed up on the beach.

All teapots are cast using porcelain and fired to 2300 degrees Fahrenheit. This type of intense reduction firing causes the glaze to transform in color and depth. These changes are most pronounced on the edges, adding interest to the form of each piece. This means that each piece is one of a kind and the variations seen in color and texture are all a part of the item's story.
