cardboard, paper & paint 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” x 3”

In my daydreams, I am wading through the overgrown field, headed for a tilting, weather-beaten farmhouse abandoned at the dogleg of a stream. The wind turns the prairie into an ocean, the house lists to starboard. Through cracks in the boarded up windows, I see the remains of a life lived here: a book splayed open under a scarred, wooden table; a chipped teacup on the counter; penciled height-marks on the doorjamb. Walking around the side of the house I see graffiti – someone declared their love for someone else. Now even that is fading. There’s nothing but the rustle of dry grass, a blackbird in the cottonwood.

Your house little house is made from upcycled cardboard, paper, and is painted with acrylic media. It is not intended to be an exact replica of an abandoned house. However, with each layer of color and texture that I lovingly apply, it reminds me more and more of those places: sad, sometimes spooky, always beguiling.

I think this would look terrific in a group (a ghost town!), or be an unusual housewarming gift – but I’m kinda funny that way.

Your house will be carefully packaged and protected from postal mishaps; and shipped to you promptly via the USPS.

Do I really need to say it? If you have any questions or (heaven forbid!) you are unhappy for any reason, please do convo me and I will make it right.
