Description

Although designed as a modern look table runner, this quilt could also be used to adorn your wall, a dresser, coffee table, sofa table, buffet, desk, bed or piano top. The light blue and violet color scheme is versatile would be perfect for your Easter decor, but can be used in any season. A layer of batting enclosed between two layers of cotton fabrics gives extra protections to your furniture.The quilt measures 14-1/2" wide by 59" long.

The front side of the runner features a blue/turquoise batik background fabric paired with four different purple/violet batik prints and a darker turquoise/teal batik "shadow". Careful placement of the fabric gives the piece a dimensional look, with square frames being lifted from the background fabrics. The other side of the runner is same as the blue/turquoise background print, so for a different look you can turn it over and have a blue colored runner. All fabrics are 100% cotton batiks. White cotton batting between the fabric layers enhances the crisp look of the runner. The piece is quilted with in a meandering pattern using an turquoise cotton thread. A double fold binding, matching the background fabric is fastened by machine stitched to the front of the runner and carefully hand stitched with invisible stitches to the back to make the piece reversible.

If you would like to use the piece as a wallhanging, contact me and I will add a hanging sleeve to the back.

The runner can be machine washed on a gentle cycle in cold water. Although it could be dried in the dryer (all of the fabrics have been pre-washed and dried in the dryer), it is recommended that you dry it flat or use the air-only dryer cycle. This will prevent any possible shrinkage and maintain the modern look to the piece.

Designed, pieced and quilted by Canadian fabric artist Judith Messenger in a smoke-free and pet-free studio in Toronto, Canada.

Returns and exchange details

All items are accurately described and pictured. Due to varying computer monitors, coloring may be slightly different. You are welcome to request a fabric sample for accuracy.

Every effort has been made to present the product to you with the best possible pictures showing every angle, descriptions including all dimensions and all particulars I can think of at the time of listing. Please ask if you would like more information or pictures before you purchase.

For these reasons, I generally do not accept returns. If you have any concerns after receiving an order or something has been damaged in the shipping please contact me as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue.

Shipping policies

Canadian orders will be shipped via Canada Post, regular mail. Packages to the USA may use Canada Post or a service that delivers via USPS. If you would like expedited shipping, please email me for additional costs. Shipping to locations in Canada should be delivered within 10 business days after postage, and to the USA within about 15 business days, but are subject to the postal system and cannot be guaranteed unless you chose to ship via Xpresspost at additional cost.

Any duties, brokerage and taxes which may result from an international sale are the responsibility of the purchaser.
