This wild, abstract vase, most likely made by Ceramica Giulianelli, San Marino, Italy in the 1960's is a great example of what the pottery manufactures of San Marino did best. This tall angular vase features an elegant, abstract sgraffito design of woman on the front and a colourful floral pattern on the back. Both designs sit within a bed of rich, fiery red surrounded by a wonderful textured bubbling ‘Lava’ glaze. The mixture of design, shape, color and texture is so bold and of its time.

Height – 32cm / 12.5”
Width – 12cm / 4.8”

This piece is in lovely condition. No chips, cracks and only the lightest of crazing to the red glaze. The shape and design of this vase is so wild and out there. The type of ‘fat lava’ pottery San Marino is famous for and a real statement piece! Vases of this style and in such good condition are becoming harder and harder to find so don’t miss you chance to own this gem!
