These primitive wooden maple sap buckets were made in Leverett, Massachusetts by the SS Graves Pail manufactory which was in operation in from c.1855 until the late 1860's. Used to collect sap for making maple syrup, these buckets are in excellent, amazing condition, and still hold water. The perfect shade of warm, cornflower blue paint is all original. There are two sizes available; the shorter buckets measure approximately 9.5" in height, the taller measure 11" in height. The diameter of the top of both sizes is approximately 12". They're great for table and country wedding centerpieces, fall planters, bathroom towel holders, corner accents, etc. These are the finest sap buckets you will encounter and seemingly the only buckets in this color available anywhere. Price is for 1 bucket.

Bucket Care-

These buckets have survived for 160 years and will live much longer if properly cared for. There's not much to it- just periodically fill with water in drier months to keep the wood swollen and iron bands tight.
